Doors that stick, locks that don't work, hardware that's loose
The bedroom door that won't latch, the deadbolt you have to lift the handle for, the fence that sags. I can fix it before dinner.
// What's covered
What gets fixed
Sticking & rubbing doors
Doors that catch on the jamb or the floor. Usually hinges or a settled frame, not the door.
Doors that won't latch
Strike plate alignment — the fix for the door that takes 3 tries every time.
Deadbolts & smart locks
New deadbolts, latches, and smart locks installed and paired to your phone.
Handles, knobs & hinges
Replacements, upgrades, and squeaky or sagging hinges reset into solid wood.
Interior door replacement
New slab hung on existing jambs, or a prehung unit set and trimmed.
// Pricing
What it usually runs
Prices are likely estimates for labor and materials. They are subject to change depending on circumstance. You supply the door, lock, or hardware, or tell me what you're after and I'll pick it up. There is a minimum $150 service fee, waived if the labor exceeds it. Quoted flat before I start — I will let you know before it changes.
// Questions I get
Before you call
My door won't latch. Is it warped?
Almost never. It's usually the strike plate being slightly out of line with the latch, or hinge screws that have worked loose over the years. Both are quick fixes and don't require a new door.
Do you install smart locks?
Yes — installed, calibrated, and paired to your phone before I leave, with the auto-lock and codes set the way you want them.
Can you replace just the door, not the whole frame?
Usually yes, and it's cheaper. A new slab gets bored for the knob and mortised for hinges to match your existing jamb. If the jamb itself is damaged, that's a prehung replacement instead.
My door drags on the carpet. Can that be fixed?
Yes. Depending on the gap, either the door gets rehung slightly higher or the bottom gets trimmed and refinished.
